Privacy Policy
What personal data we collect, why we collect it, and what we never do with it.
1. Scope
This policy covers hackwithpro.in — HackWithPro Academy and the HackWithPro Store. We are the data fiduciary for the personal data described here.
2. What we collect
- Account details — your name, email address and, optionally, your phone number
- Purchase records — what you bought, amounts, order IDs, coupon codes and gateway payment IDs
- Learning activity — lessons opened, watch time and completion state
- Store activity — cart contents, download history and download counts
- Technical data — IP address, browser and device type, and timestamps
- Security events — content-protection signals such as attempted screen captures or developer-tools use
- Correspondence — messages you send through our contact and doubt forms
We do not collect or store card numbers, CVVs, UPI PINs or bank credentials. Razorpay handles all payment data directly on their own systems.
3. Why we collect it
- To give you access to what you bought and to save your progress and library
- To send receipts, download links, access notices and service announcements
- To enforce the per-account device limit and detect credential sharing
- To protect Content from unauthorised copying and redistribution
- To answer your support requests and handle refund claims
- To detect and prevent fraud and abuse
- To meet our legal, accounting and tax obligations
We process this data to perform our contract with you, to pursue our legitimate interest in protecting our content and our business, and to comply with law. We do not run behavioural advertising and we do not build marketing profiles.
4. Watermarking and view logging
Course videos and documents display a watermark containing your name, email address and IP address, and each lesson view is recorded. Store downloads are logged against your account. This exists to deter and trace unauthorised redistribution, and it is a condition of the content licence you accept at signup.
5. Cookies
We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies and no advertising cookies. The Cookie Policy lists each one.
6. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share the minimum necessary with:

7. Where your data is held
Our database is hosted on infrastructure in India. Some of our service providers process data outside India; where that happens, we rely on their contractual safeguards. Using the site means accepting that this cross-border processing takes place.
8. How long we keep it
- Account and purchase records — while your account exists, and afterwards for as long as tax and accounting law requires
- Security event logs — pruned after 30 days
- Abandoned guest carts — cleared after 30 days of inactivity
- Support messages — kept while relevant to an open matter, then archived
9. Your rights
You can ask us to:
- Give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correct anything inaccurate
- Delete your account and personal data, except records we must legally retain
- Stop sending you non-essential email
Email pratik@hackwithpro.space from your registered address and we will respond within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm your identity first — it protects you as much as us.
10. Security
Passwords are stored as one-way hashes, never in plain text. The site is served over HTTPS. Database access is restricted, session tokens are hashed, and administrative areas are behind role checks and are excluded from search engines. No system is perfectly secure, but we take this seriously and will notify affected users promptly if a breach ever puts their data at risk.
11. Children
Our Content is intended for users aged 16 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16. If you believe a child has given us personal data, email us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our practices change, and the "last updated" date at the top will move. Material changes will be announced on the site or by email.
